The videos from the first AMP Camp event in August are now available online. These are a great resource to learn about components of the BDAS stack like Spark and Shark, and Mesos; as well as big data issues in general such as machine learning, crowdsourcing, etc.
Here are some links to the Spark, Shark, and Mesos talks in particular:
- Parallel programming with Spark – Parts 1 and 2 (Matei Zaharia)
- Structured Data with Hive and Shark (Reynold Xin)
- Managing Twitter clusters with Mesos (Benjamin Hindman)
Check out the full list of talks, including four talks by industry users about their production applications of AMPLab software projects. You can also find slides from the presentations, and the AMP Camp exercises.
