One of the main themes in the recent White House announcement of the National Strategic Computing Initiative is a call for better integration of High Performance Computing and Big Data Analytics approaches and technologies.   AMPLab is working with Cray and researchers from the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s NERSC center to look into efficient execution of the BDAS stack on new HPC architectures.   An article describing this project appears in HPC Wire.
