AMP/RADLab graduated project Apache Mesos was in the news a couple times today.

First, there was an announcement by AMPLab sponsor Cisco, about a new product using Mesos and Riak to provide a scalable, dynamic cloud-based storage solution for IoT applications.    A post in the “New Stack” blog describes that announcement and includes some quotes from an AMPLab representative (me).

A piece in Business Insider discusses reports that another AMPLab Sponsor, Microsoft, is interested in buying Mesosphere, the two-year old company created around Apache Mesos.
