Curt Monash’s DBMS2 blog covers the latest developments in database and data management technologies from an enterprise perspective.   He recently posted two articles focused on the AMPLab analytics stack. These are Introduction to Spark, Shark, BDAS and the AMPLab, and Spark, Shark and RDDs Technical Notes.    It’s rare but not unheard of for Curt to post on university-driven projects -he’s also posted about the SciDB project – but it’s another indication of interest in the stack beyond the traditional academic venues.
