AMPLab sponsors Pivotal and EMC recently announced their endorsement of the Tachyon distributed caching framework developed here in the lab.  Pivotal plans to incorporate the open source Tachyon system along with Apache Spark as part of their strategy for supporting “data lakes” and EMC is working on integrating Tachyon with their new flash storage technologies.
