Science magazine posted an article about a new tool for ranking influence of authors in scientific domains, starting with Computer Science. The article is titled “Who is the Michael Jordan of Computer Science?” because at the very top of the list of most-influential computer scientists world-wide is AMPLab’s own Michael Jordan. Other AMPLab faculty appearing on the “Top 50” list are David Culler, Scott Shenker, and Ion Stoica. Clearly, having these leading faculty around is one of the reasons why hanging out in the AMPLab is so much fun and is so great for research.
